Home Safety Consultation for People “Aging In Place.”
The Occupational Therapy Home Safety Assessment includes an interview with the client and family, assessment of home environment, safety, mobility, and current support system. The OT will then provide recommendations to help the client reach their goals of Aging In Place. Recommendations often include: fall prevention strategies, community resources, leisure exploration, home modifications and any equipment recommendation that may improve function or safety with daily living tasks. The goal is to help the client live life to the fullest and age safely in their homes.
